NEW! Version 0.8 released — the first public one.

NEW! The image now ships the osl-install installer and the osl-tools utility set. See the Handbook.

Quick facts

Base: BuildRoot
Platform: PC (x86-64)
Packages: opkg
Installer: osl-install (CLI)

Key partner: Foundry Technologies

Open Small Linux and its official repository are connected with Foundry Technologies.

  • The official repository will be maintained by Foundry Technologies — it is still in preparation.
  • Once it is up, Foundry programs will be installable through opkg.
  • The repositories will not be limited to Foundry software: programs by other authors will be there too.

Important: version 0.8, the very first one, does not contain programs from Foundry — and no repository is configured yet (see the Repository page).
