After writing the image to a USB stick

# from Linux, replace sdX with your USB device
dd if=osl-v0_8.iso of=/dev/sdX bs=4M status=progress
sync

Boot from the stick, log in as root (no password) and run osl-install. Full instructions are in the Handbook.
